I have no idea how to determine what "pixel format" it's saving, as I thought a TIFF is a TIFF. Thanks, but PNG is not an output option for PhotoLab 5 (PL5), as those include only JPEG, DNG, and TIFF and "JPEG or TIFF images cannot be exported in DNG format." My workflow has been RAW->TIFF as that's the optimal format for the all of DxO products and I want to be able to do things like convert from RAW in PL5, export to Nik, and then to PSP if necessary, after which I may want to fine-tune in one of the previously-used programs to finally produce a print.
It also prompts me to buy ASP3, so it's obviously oblivious to that. Is there a way to let PSP know that I have ASP3 and it should instead open the image therein? It seems that it should already "know" that. This is a different subject (so maybe I should open a new post-this is my first on the forum), but if I try to open a RAW file in PSP, it opens a Camera RAW Lab window (a very basic program). Is this a common problem and is there a reasonable solution? The Tif thumbnails sometimes appear normally and sometimes they're pixelated as well (image showing both attached), but if I try to open either, it resembles the image on the left, which obviously makes the program essentially useless (unless I convert the file to a JPG before opening in PSP?), which is not desirable workflow-wise. I save all DxO-processed files as Tifs, but when I then try to open them in PSP, all I get is a useless, pixelated mess.
I often then export these to the Nik Collection for further work as Tifs but I have PSP2022 Ultimate (and ASP3) as there are things I can theoretically do in PSP that I can't with DxO (or at least not as easily). I generally use DxO PhotoLab 5 Elite to convert and initially edit RAW files.
